Acknowledging the strength and resilience it takes to go to Romania.
To witness thousands of suffering, (and I mean horrific suffering, too graphic to share) desperate and dying dogs and then drive the journey back in the van, taking days, making sure 20+ dogs travelling are all ok, while hardly sleeping, having graphic flashbacks of the ones left behind that you saw with your own eyes, face to face of dogs pleading and begging for help, some given up, some so stressed they have appeared to have gone insane, not to mention the pregnant ones or mothers with puppies as well as the senior and sick dogs it’s absolutely heartbreaking.
If you go, you will see many dead dogs… some even from being attacked by other dogs in small prison cells type pens shared with many other dogs… the weakest get attacked and killed in the bad shelters.
These warriors go back and forth doing this over and over, seeing all the trauma, rescuing as many as they can, then doing the journey in snow, rain etc plus on top of that finding homes, raising funds to cover costs plus all the admin to run a non profit organisation…..
They deserve waves of support for what they are doing πππππ
